Aluminium clamps and aluminium grippers, optimised for light weight, together with special aluminium connecting elements, complement the TÜNKERS® product range for robotic tooling systems. Complex endeffector systems for robots can be assembled efficiently in a very short time. Compared to conventional steel design, this system offers the important advantages of less weight. |

| Forming Technology | |
|
|
|
Punching, joining and embossing are the typical applications for TÜNKERS® forming technology components. Examples include clinch-joining and joining with self-piercing rivets where the steel sheets are joined using an upsetting/pressing process - the alternative to spot welding; or where additional holes are required in the part, e.g. the antenna hole. Alternative to conventional hydraulic C-Frame systems, the pneumatic TÜNKERS® toggle lever unit is used where the necessary pressing force of 20 to 200 kN is generated by a cylinder and an integrated toggle lever amplifier. |

| Welding Technology | |

The toggle lever mechanism is the heart of the TÜNKERS® welding units, developed for the unique requirements of automotive body assembly. Equipped with a very compact flat pneumatic cylinder - with low air consumption - the required high welding forces are generated by the toggle lever mechanism with a line pressure of only 5 bar.
